Robin Williams stole our hearts in more ways than one – both in serious and comedic roles. For many, he stands as a symbol of our youth, cheering us up when needed and giving us some much-needed comic relief from everyday life. However, like many of the uber-talented, Williams was battling some dark demons and much to the shock of the millions who adored him, he took his own life on Aug. 11, 2014.

TheCelebrityCafe.com has counted down his Top 10 films, his best moments and memories, and outlined the reactions from both his fellow celebrities and fans. Now we’re taking a stroll down memory lane and revisiting Williams in recent years; at red carpet events, with his family and even joking around with friends in the business like Billy Crystal.

Robin Williams will forever be remembered as the light that he was in a world where his bravado and gifted aura were there to get us through the toughest times. Unfortunately, he didn’t have the same inspiration to get him through those difficult times we pray that he’s in a happier place. His brilliant body of work will always live on.
