Police forces are reportedly focusing on gang-related issues as the primary motive behind last night’s shooting at Chris Brown’s MTV VMA pre-party at 1Oak in NYC.
As previously reported by TheCelebrityCafe.com, rap royalty Suge Knight was shot six times during the party at around 1:30 AM Sunday morning.
According to TMZ, Chris Brown, Suge Knight and Game (who got violent when he wasn’t let into the club early on in the evening) are all affiliated with the Bloods. Therefore, cops are reportedly treating the incident as gang-related violence.
Knight is known for his association with the Bloods and Brown wore a red bandana during his performances at the club, signaling his support for the same gang. Game’s latest album is also called Blood Money.
Brown is being cited as a target in the incident as well, although he left the club soon after the shooting unharmed. Witnesses reportedly heard four or five shots outside 1Oak while Knight was actually hit six times before being transported to a nearby hospital.
