Prince Charles is reportedly angry over a new book about the British Royal Family that’s about to come out. The book, written by the Queen’s former press secretary, reveals secrets about his marriage to the late Princess Diana.

A report by the U.K. Mirror claims that Charles is furious with former press secretary Dickie Arbiter and feels betrayed. “Charles is furious. This man was a trusted friend,” a palace source told the site.

Arbiter was the Queen’s press secretary of 12 years and reportedly saw the private side of Charles like no one else. He knew of Charles’ affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles and the bitter end of his marriage with Diana. He even knew that Charles was close to Jimmy Saville, the late BBC children’s show host now at the center of horrific child abuse allegations.

The Royal household is reportedly nervous about what the memoir reveals and are even talking with legal representation about getting its publication blocked.

“It is just a case of a man who he thought was a friend and who could be trusted cashing in on the misery of that time. It is disloyal,” a source told the Mirror. “Arbiter has been told that he does not have official permission to write this book and a legal team has reviewed all his old contracts in a bid to try and find a way to stop it.”

According to Vanity Fair, Arbiter has been tweeting about the upcoming book, which is called On Duty with the Queen. Arbiter has called the book “not just a memoir” and notes that it recounts his “extraordinary” life.
