Indio Downey, son of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., was hit with two counts relating to his arrest for possession of cocaine.
The 20-year-old was charged on June 30 for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a smoking device, E! News reports. Indio will be back in court on Aug. 29.
If found guilty on both charges, he could face a three year and six months jail sentence, but would likely enter into a drug-diversion program since he is a first time offender.
Indio was arrested back on June 29 in West Hollywood. He was the passenger in a car pulled over after police spotted someone inside smoking from a pipe.
RDJ relesed a statement following Indio's arrest saying that he believed his son might have "inherited" drug problem due to genetics.
The elder Downey was infamous in the 1990s and early 2000s for his drug addiction, which took multiple rehab and jail stints before he started to go straight and get his life back in order.
