Music mogul Suge Knight underwent surgery early this morning after he was reportedly shot multiple times following an unofficial pre-MTV Video Music Awards party in West Hollywood.
Shots were fired at the 1OAK club around 1:30 a.m., TMZ reports. A source close to the former Death Row Records CEO told the site that he was shot in the stomach and arm. Thankfully, after the surgery, doctors told Knight’s family that no bullets remained in his body. TMZ reported that Knight was shot at six times.
A 10-second video on the site showed chaos within the club. Photos of people leaving the club with their hands in the air were also posted on TMZ, with police pointing guns toward the doors. Two other victims were also rushed to the hospital and at least one was in critical condition.
The part was hosted by singer Chris Brown and was publicized on his Instagram page. “We bout to turn the f**k up!!!!” Brown wrote in a caption.
According to MTV News, the other celebrities at the party included model Tyson Beckford and the Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap. The Game was also there. He and his entourage also reportedly got into an altercation with security guards at the start of the party.
The MTV Video Music Awards are tonight at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Brown is actually a nominee for his “Loyal” video with Lil Wayne and Tyga.
