Well folks it’s happened again. Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational after his tee-shot on the ninth-hole.

Woods immediately felt discomfort in his back after the shot on nine. Apparently though, Woods felt discomfort earlier than that.

"It happened on the second hole when I hit my second shot, I fell back into the bunker. I just jarred it, and it's been spasming ever since. It's just the whole lower back. I don't know what happened,” Woods told a PGA official, according to USAToday.com.

For Woods, it is yet another setback in a career recently marred with them. Earlier in the year he withdrew from the Honda Classic which led to back surgery back on March 31st.

For the legend that is Tiger Woods, recent times have continued to haunt him after a brilliant beginning to his career. He is currently ranked 215th in the Fedex Cup Standings, according to PGATour.com. Woods is also searching for that elusive 15th major championship, as it’s been a while since his last (2008 US Open).

Six years ago there was no doubt that Woods would catch Jack Nicklaus in Majors (18). However, since the 2009 controversies surrounding his family-life, there has been one injury setback after another.

The only thing Woods seems to be competing against these days is his broken-down body.
