In addition to acquiring No. 1 overall NBA draft pick Andrew Wiggins, the Minnesota Timberwolves will also get Philadelphia 76ers forward Thaddeus Young in the blockbuster Kevin Love trade.
According to the Associated Press, a league source has said that the Wolves will receive Young as part of a three-team deal that will send Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sources told Yahoo! Sports that in return the Sixers will get the Miami Heat's 2015 first-round pick, which Minnesota initially acquired and forward Luc Mbah a Moute and guard Alexey Shved.
The 26-year-old Young played for the 76ers since the team first drafted him in 2007. He has two years remaining on his contract valued at $19.4 million.
Philadelphia is in a rebuilding mode and had hoped to snag the 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett in the Young trade, but Minnesota decided to keep the forward.
As for the Cavs, they feel that once Love joins LeBron James and Kyrie Irving the team will easily contend for the title next season.
All the dealings are expected to happen this weekend when Wiggins is eligible to be dealt on Aug. 23.
