In the last ten years fans have been lucky enough to witness some of the greatest college quarterbacks of all-time. There is no denying the importance and impact of quarterbacks, as eight of the last ten Heisman Trophy winners have been quarterbacks. College is no different from the NFL, in that teams are becoming ever more dependent on their quarterbacks to bring their team success. Since 2004, these 10 quarterbacks have accepted that challenge, and become larger than life figures in their respective regions.

Alamaba's AJ McCarron, Boise State's Kellen Moore, and Ohio State's Troy Smith just barely missed making the list.

This past year's Heisman Trophy winner, Jameis Winston, is not in the list because he was only a freshman last year. We'll wait until his college career is over before we evaluate where he should rank on a list like this, though he is good enough to have made it.
