With adjusted numbers for live+same day, Big Brother still did well and tied the season high in the TV ratings on Thursday night.
As previously reported, the ratings on the night were inflated due to preseason football and President Barack Obama interruptions, which were sure to falsely inflate the numbers.
And sure enough, there were noticeable drops across the board, with Big Brother falling from the 2.7 rating in the advertiser-important 18-49 demographic down to a 2.3 key demo rating, Variety reports.
The number for the show are still good for CBS' reality competition and high enough to match a season high.
ABC's heart probably sunk after the adjusted numbers dropped the second episode of The Quest down to a 0.6 rating, which is a slight dip after debuting quite poorly with a 0.7 rating. NY Med managed to actually stay at 0.9 in the adjusted numbers, so there is a little positivity for the network.
NBC was dealt a blow in adjusted numbers to the network's two freshman comedies. Both Welcome to Sweden and Working the Engels fell to a 0.5 rating in the demo, hitting series lows. Another show to sink far was Fox's Gang Related, which dipped from a 0.9 rating to a 0.6 in the demo.
