Vanessa Hudgens surprised 17-year-old high school student Cesar Guerrero at his prom on Thursday evening with the help of a charity organization called The Art Elysium, whose mission is to bring joy to critically ill children. Guerrero has cancer.

According to Gossip Cop, Hudgens has been a supporter of The Art Elysium for some time and she eagerly agreed to give Cesar the surprise of a lifetime. Hudgens showed up to his high school prom and reportedly posed for photos and spent time bonding with Cesar.

The former High School Musical star even posted a photo of the two together on Instagram to commemorate the evening and draw attention to The Art Elysium. Hudgens crouched down and smiled while Guerrero held a sign that read “#ArtHeals” in an effort to raise awareness for the organization.
