Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph was among nine people injured in a bar shooting in Minneapolis early Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred around 1:50 a.m. and two people at the nightclub suffered serious injuries, KSTP reports. The two people are said to be in stable condition at the hospital and police say they will pull through.
Joseph was hit by a stray bullet during the attack, the Vikings said in a statement, which hit his calf, according to USA Today. He was not involved in the shooting and will likely be back with the team later in the week.
"The entire Vikings organization is extremely thankful that Linval was not seriously hurt, and our thoughts are with all the victims of this shooting," the team said in a statement. "The team will defer any further comment to the Minneapolis Police Department during its ongoing investigation."
KARE-TV notes that the lone shooter is not currently in police custody.
