In case you live under a rock or just don’t watch NBC at all, The Voice is starting soon and two coaches have new albums to promote, which means they will be everywhere on the peacock network. That includes appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Let’s start with Adam Levine. He was on the show Tuesday night to promote V, the latest record from Maroon 5. Levine got to test his pipes and impression skills with “Wheel of Musical Impressions.”
During the sketch, Levine did his best Frank Sinatra, pretending to be Ole Blue Eyes singing “Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes.” Next, he did Michael Jackson, singing the Sesame Street theme.
Blake Shelton also has a new album coming out, Bringing Back The Sunshine. According to Rolling Stone, that comes out on Sept. 30 and features “Neon Light,” which he performed for Fallon.
Later, Shelton played “Random Football Object” with Fallon, in which the two threw random things (including Alanis Morissette’s head) at a wide receiver poster. Of course, this was corporate synergy at its finest, since NBC airs the first game of the NFL season tonight.
The Voice comes back on Sept. 22.
