Chris Rock is watching his daughters get a little older, and as they approach their teen years, he said he does not want them to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The comedian and actor has two daughters; Lola, 12, and Zahra, 10. He said their “obsessed” with both Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Karadshian’s E! reality show and Lifetime’s Dance Moms.

While at the premiere of his film Top Five at the Toronto International Film Festival, which he wrote and directed, he told Us Weekly he got the ideas for some of the plot from reality television. In the film, he and his fiancé – played by Gabrielle Union – plan to get married on a reality television show.

"I'm pushing them to watch less Kardashians," he said, adding of the idea of them being role modes for his daughters, "Well, reality TV in general is just pretty nuts, and watching what these people go through…."

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter reports Top Five landed a distribution deal after a bidding war, which ended in Paramount securing it for around $12.5 million.

The film, which also stars Rosario Dawson, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld and Kevin Hart, got rave review at the Toronto Film Festival.
