Legendary comic and fashion icon, Joan Rivers, passed away on Thursday at the age of 81. Rivers' daughter, Melissa, assured fans that Rivers was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Rivers went into cardiac arrest after undergoing a routine procedure at a doctor's office in Manhattan and was sent to The Mount Sinai Hospital. On August 28th Rivers was placed in a medically induced coma.

For years Rivers has been able to capture the hearts of her audience by finding the perfect way to bring a smile to everyone's faces. Rivers' was known for poking fun at what today's hottest celebs chose to wear on her E! network special, 'Fashion Police.'

Celebs have taken to Twitter to mourn the loss of Rivers, an iconic comedy figure in the fashion and entertainment world.

While Rivers will be missed, one thing's for sure - everyone's positive that Heaven just became a whole lot funnier.
