Is there a cat fight brewing in Hollywood?

Taylor Swift is on the cover of Rolling Stone for the third time, and in her profile, talks about a new song on her album 1989, titled “Bad Blood,” in which she sings about a rival in Hollywood.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift told Rolling Stone. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”

The internet immediately began weighing in on who she could possibly be talking about, with names from past friends Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato thrown into the mix, but early Tuesday morning, Katy Perry sent a cryptic tweet which seems as if all signs point to her.

“Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” she wrote, referencing the 2004 film, Mean Girls.

While both Swift and Perry are romantically linked to John Mayer, inspiring a track on Swift’s Speak Now album-not very subtly titled “Dear John”- Swift insists the feud wasn’t triggered by any boy drama.

“It had to do with business,” she tells Rolling Stone. “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Swift is known for leaving clues in her albums to let fans know what songs are about who, but since 1989 won’t be released until Oct. 27, all we can do for now is wonder.
