Yesterday many nude photos of A-list celebrities were leaked onto 4chan. Today, the FBI has released a statement regarding the photos.

Celebrities violated by the photo leak include Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice. The photos were stolen through an iCloud hack before being uploaded to the internet. A spokesperson for Lawrence has already released a statement saying “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

According to ABC News, the FBI said they are “aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high profile individuals, and is addressing the matter. Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time."

Nickolodeon star Victoria Justice has already spoken out on her Twitter page, calling the nude photos of her fake.

This isn’t the first time celebrities have had personal photos stolen. Back in 2012, Christopher Chaney hacked into celebrities personal emails to steal private information. He was sentenced to ten years in prison according to the Los Angeles Times.

There is no word on who is responsible for this round of hacking.
