The X Factor contestant Simone Battle was found dead of an apparent suicide and fans have taken to Twitter to mourn the loss.
TheCelebrityCafe.com reported that Battle, a member of G.R.L., was found dead in her Los Angeles home. An official cause of death is yet to be released, but police say that Battle’s boyfriend found her hung in her closet.
TMZ reported that Battle’s father said he was confused about the death because in recent communications his daughter seemed to be fine in spirits.
“"It's possible she may have had an invisible disability," said Anthony Battle.
Fans of the 25-year-old singer have expressed their grief on Twitter.
Even celebrity fans of Battle reached out on Twitter to comment on the death of the up and coming singer.
Battle was currently a member of girl group G.R.L. People posted Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records and RCA records official comment on the passing of Battle.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."
Battle gained celebrity when she competed on The X Factor in 2011. She became a member of G.R.L. in 2012. G.R.L. became known when they performed with singer Pitbull in his song “Wild Wild Love.”
