Comedienne Joan Rivers was bigger than life and her funeral seemed to match her outrageous persona.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Rivers’ funeral was just as glamorous as the comedienne’s life. A-listers, paparazzi, and spectators all gathered to mourn Rivers, who passed due to complications from a throat surgery.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Hugh Jackman, Howard Stern, Whoopi Goldberg, Matthew Broderick, Barbara Walters, and Andy Cohen were some of the many high profile people in attendance at Rivers’ funeral.

Rivers’ current employer, E!News, gave a detailed account of Rivers’ last big hurrah.

Broadway show tunes were performed by Hugh Jackman, the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and the New York City Police Department Emerald Society.

Rivers had previously stated in her book I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me that she wanted her funeral to be a true Hollywood spectacle with “Meryl Streep crying, in five different accents” as well as wind machines and to look better than she did in real life.

The affair was said to be upbeat and humorous, much like the comedienne herself.

Rivers’ daughter Melissa thanked everyone for their support and read a heartfelt letter addressed to her mother to close out the ceremony.
