Kate Upton has made her first red carpet appearance after several of her personal explicit photos hit the web last weekend.
According to Us Weekly, the Sports Illustrated model made a public appearance on Friday, September 5 in New York City at the Daily Front Row's Fashion Media Awards at the Park Hyatt.
As previously reported by TheCelebrityCafe.com, Upton was one of the victims of a large-scale hacking scandal in which a user posted hundreds of personal explicit photos from all corners of the entertainment industry on Reddit in exchange for BitCoins. Other targets include Jennifer Lawrence, McKayla Maroney and Victoria Justice.
"This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton's privacy,” said Upton’s rep in a public statement. “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible."
Upton’s boyfriend, and Detroit Tigers star, Justin Verlander made a vague statement regarding the scandal announcing that he plans to focus on his team. "I'm not going to comment on my personal life," the 31-year-old said. "I never have, and I never plan on it. I keep my personal life personal. The focus for me is on the Detroit Tigers.”
