Longtime comedian Kathy Griffin has joined the celebrity-filled ALS Ice Bucket challenge movement, though she chose to do so without so much as a bathing suit top. That’s right, funny woman Kathy Griffin did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge…naked!
Griffin’s oddly scandalous take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week. Many celebrities have joined the fight against ALS, which is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects the spinal cord and shuts down basic muscle functions. However, we have yet to see someone go to the length Griffin has by filming the challenge naked.
Griffin enlisted the help of celebrity pals AJ from the Backstreet Boys and Parks and Recreation veteran Aubrey Plaza. The two famous buddies dumped buckets of ice on poor, naked Griffin in the name of charity—leading to some funny results. Plaza, in her typical awkwardly funny way, chose to rub ice cubes on Griffin’s naked body before Griffin decided to push AJ into the pool.
According to ALSA.org, the Ice Bucket Challenge has raised over $94 million this summer for research to combat the disease!
