Although it is no secret that Kim Kardashian worships Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star recently revealed that Wintour had an influence on naming North.
When the news broke that West and Kardashian would be naming their daughter North West, many were confused as two why the famous couple decided to use two directions as a name. However, with Kardashian appearing on the cover of the October issue of GQ Magazine, she revealed some inside information regarding the naming process, admitting Pharell and Wintour had weight in solidifying the name.
The reality star claimed that North West was originally a false rumor created by the press, admitting the couple had “never really considered it seriously, at all.”
“But Kanye and I were having lunch,” she added. “And Pharell came over to us and said, ‘Oh my God, are you guys really going to call your daughter, ‘North?’ That is the best name’”
Kardashian later added that she had a similar experience with Wintour, who told the couple “North is a genius name.” Despite their original hesitations, Kardashian claimed that “at that point [the name] sort of stuck.”
