The First Daughter will have a new face in the upcoming season of ABC's Scandal, with Mary Mouser stepping into the role of Karen Grant.
The First Daughter has only been in one season of the political drama, but she will already be different for the upcoming fourth season as scheduling conflicts for the original Grant, Madeline Carroll necessitated recasting, Entertainment Weekly was the first to report.
Mouser previously played Lacey Fleming in three seasons of Body of Proof, according to TheWrap and also had a recurring role on both NCIS and The Fosters.
Mouser's Karen will be dealing with the loss of her brother Jerry Jr. who died in the closing episode of the third season, leaving her with just one other sibling.
Columbus Short who starred in the series as Harrison won't be back after getting into fights and allegedly attacking his wife during the summer break. Though his character didn't technically die on screen, Scandal can easily write him off since he was last seen looking like he was about to meet his end.
Season four of Scandal premieres on ABC Sept. 25.
