Melissa Rivers has released a new statement regarding the health of her mother, Fashion Police host Joan Rivers.

Clearing up conflicting reports, Melissa said her mother remains on life support at this time.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time she does remain on life support,” Melissa told NBC News in a statement.

She continued, “I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."

Rivers remains at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City after she stopped breathing during a surgery on her throat to repair her vocal chords on Thursday. She underwent the surgery at a clinic and was rushed to the hospital after going under cardiac arrest. That same day, Melissa and her son, Cooper, flew from the west coast to be with the veteran television personality.

E! has halted production on Fashion Police, which Melissa serves as executive producer on.

In a statement, the network said, "We will not be producing a Fashion Police this week or next as we await Joan and Melissa's return in front and behind the camera."
