The first official image of Girls star Allison Williams as Peter Pan has surfaced, showing the actress in the iconic green outfit we’ve come to know and love but with a modern twist. Her long hair is covered up in a short wig as she gazes off into the distance.
NBC tweeted the photo on Wednesday and Williams appeared on the Today Show to talk about her starring role in the live musical.

She talked about offering up cutting her hair for the part, but said she was shot down. "I sort of very tentatively offered to cut my hair,” she admitted, adding she was told in response, “You're welcome to do that, we're still gonna put you in a wig," she laughed, Today.com reports.
Three weeks ago, Williams posted a video of herself in rehearsals, where she gave fans the first look at her flying lessons for the live musical.

Williams will appear as Peter Pan opposite Christopher Walken as Captain Hook live on Dec. 4 on NBC.
