The CW released a new trailer for Arrow, which will be back for another action packed season next month. To help fans survive the wait, the new trailer teases some of the new characters who will pop up during the third season.
Fans can spot Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, who will become the hero Atom. As TheWrap points out, there are also some scenes with Emily Bett Rickards, who plays Felicity; Colton Haynes as Roy; Katie Cassidy as Laurel; and Willa Holland as Thea. Stephen Amell also gets in on the action, especially since he’s the title character.
Speaking of Amell, the actor also revealed on Twitter that the Batman villain Ra’s al Ghul will appear in the show. He wrote that Matt Nable will be playing the character.
Nable has appeared in Riddick, The Turning and the Australian TV series Underbelly.
Back at Comic-Con this summer, The Hollywood Reporter noted that executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed to reporters that their Ra’s al Ghul will be different from the character that appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. “We really wanted our Ra's to be very different — at least our own Arrow-ified version,” he said.
Arrow returns on The CW on Oct. 8.
