The video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee, now-wife Janay Palmer in an elevator has surfaced. It finally reveals to the public exactly what happened moments before the Baltimore Ravens player dragged her out of the elevator.

Back in February, TMZ Sports obtained surveillance footage showing Rice dragging a knocked out Palmer out of an Atlantic City casino elevator. On Monday, TMZ Sports finally obtained the rest of the video, which shows Rice punching Palmer, knocking her to the floor.

A former employee of the Revel Hotel and Casino, which recently closed down, told TMZ that the NFL had seen the full video before it ultimately decided to only suspend Rice for two games.

That decision caused an uproar and the NFL was forced to make a change. From now on, all NFL employees (including players) will receive six-game suspensions for first domestic violence incidents. After a second incident, the player will be suspended for a full year.

The NFL has not commented on the situation since the release of the full video. The league had previously defended its decision, noting that Rice avoided jail time after striking a deal with prosecutors. As a result, he is only required to take domestic violence courses.
