Many Moore’s husband, musician Ryan Adams, made it very clear that he will never discuss his marriage or his personal life in any way.

When an interviewer on an Australian show asked about Moore, he politely declined to talk about it but when the issue wasn’t dropped, he simply hung up the phone.

The interviewer, Higgo, tweeted Adams after and told him it was a “shame it ended so abruptly,” and Adams replied that he got “disconnected.”

However, when speaking to BuzzfFeed about it later, he revealed what really happened.

“OK, so I just hung up ‘cause I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry, but I won’t repeat myself,” he explained.

“The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever. I’ll talk about rescue cats for a few seconds. But even there I don’t want to talk about my pets. If I have children I’m not going to discuss that with anyone ever. I’ll suggest it once and then I’m going to hang up.”

Moore and Adams got married in 2009.
