Former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd has reportedly offered her estranged husband Lamar Sally a $100,000 payment to settle their divorce. In addition to the one-time payment, Shepherd has also offered to pay Sally $3,000 a month in child support.
Sally has reportedly rejected the offer, despite the amount offered being significantly larger than the amount Sally would have gotten per the former couple’s prenup agreement, Radar Online reports.
The couple has an extensive prenup agreement which Sally is contesting. Sources tell Radar Online that “Lamar rejected the offer, and countered that he wanted $10,000 in child support, which Sherri thinks is ridiculous and absolutely won’t pay. At this point, the divorce isn’t likely to settle without a trial, which Sherri is more than willing to have.”
The bitter divorce battle between the former couple has been going on for the majority of the summer, starting when Sally filed for separation and full custody of their at that time unborn child, who was being carried via surrogate.
Shepherd opened up about her legal troubles surrounding her divorce back in June, noting that even though the events have been painful, they are also necessary for her growth as a person. TheCelebrityCafe.com reported Shepherd at the time telling E! News, “Growth is hard and growth is a struggle, and it hurts and you've got to go through that in order to grow or you stay the same…I hope that my character and my integrity speaks for me, so I stand behind that.”
