Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood is a new reality TV series that recently premiered on VH1 and according to Soulja Boy, this reality show is not like any other we've seen before.
The Love & Hip Hop series started in 2011 and the latest entry gives us a chance to see what kind of drama and scandals famous hip hop artists face in Tinseltown.
Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood stars Ray J, Omarion, Soulja Boy, and other music artists as they try to find relationships that fit into their lifestyle.
With any reality shows, there is some skepticism about whether or not what the audience sees is scripted. However, Soulja Boy talked with Yahoo Music and said that the situations we see in the show are very much a reality.
“Ain't nothing made up, it's real. That's how it's going down out here in Hollywood. When you got young millionaires walking around, you got hella girls that's on us. You got this girl that like me, that girl that like me, situations pop off,” Soulja Boy said.
Most of these rappers are used to being in the spotlight, but some of the women on the show are new to being front and center and with it comes a desire to stay relevant. Both men and women on the show have their moments of passion, which rapper Ray J says is not a joke.
“All of my scenes have fighting and drama and spitting and cursing, because it’s a real emotional, tense situation we’re going through. It’s not an act. It’s not a joke. It’s none of that. So all of the things that you see from my life, it’s a very intense moment in my world. And it’s gotten me in a lot of trouble. And so it’s been tough. It’s definitely been an emotional roller coaster ride,” Ray J told Ebony in an interview.
