This summer is over, so now it’s time to start planning for next year’s big events. One of those will include the Tony Awards, honoring the best of Broadway. CBS and Tonys founders The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing announced the date for next year’s ceremony.
The 69th Annual Tony Awards will again take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and will air live on CBS on June 7, 2015. Back in May 2013, the eye network secured broadcast rights for the ceremony though 2018.
Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment will executive produce the show again. Just last month, the 68th Annual Tony Awards won three Emmys, including one for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.
This past year’s ceremony in June was hosted by Hugh Jackman. The winners included A Gentleman’s Guide To Murder for Best Musical and All The Way for Best Play. Neil Patrick Harris won for Best Lead Actor in a musical for Hedwig and the Angry Itch.
