It happened again. A person dropped the f-bomb on live television. Thanks to the magic of the Internet, Alaska news reporter Charlo Greene will forever live in infamy as one of the many people who have said a certain four-letter word on a network that’s not HBO, Cinemax, Starz or Showtime.
Obviously, this has happened countless times before. Despite the FCC’s attempts to shield us from profane language, you just never know what’s going to happen on live television. Mistakes can happen, even with delays.
Green’s case was really interesting, since it was after a story on marijuana. She revealed that she owns the Alaska Cannabis Club and clearly planned to say, “F**k it, I quit.” She has since apologized for offending anyone, but fully explained her position on social media.
That’s actually an exception. Most of the time, the f-word slips out by accident. Based on a quick search on YouTube, here’s 10 great incidents of the f-word making appearances when it shouldn't.

[new page = Elaine Stritch]
At the age of 89, the late Elaine Stritch dropped the bomb on the Today Show in February. It was one of her last great moments in a long, legendary career. Stritch died in July at age 89.
[new page = Tom Hanks]
Tom Hanks, America’s favorite actor, blurted out the F-word on Good Morning America in October 2012. The worst (or best?) part is that he warned the show that he would swear if he did an accent. Of course, he did and immediately knew it was wrong.
[new page = Grabbing the mic]
Sadly, there are true morons out there who like to interfere with local live reporters and do things in the background. One idiot grabbed this poor reporter’s microphone and yelled “F**k her right in the p***y.”
You can find this NSFW video here. Note to anyone who thinks this is funny: it’s not.
[new page = Charlo Greene]
Charlo Greene does deserve a spot on the list. She voiced her support for legalizing marijuana in Alaska. She quit on the spot, leaving her colleague to apologize. Greene later apologized herself, but stands by her cause.
[new page = Bill O’Reilly]
Bill O’Reilly worked on Inside Edition before joining Fox News and no one can resist this ultimate classic TV complaint.
[new page = Bad first day]
Here’s another classic that never gets old. On his first day at work, A.J. Clemente said “f***ing s**t.” He might have thought, “Oh, I’m in North Dakota and no one will notice.” Sorry, A.J., we did.
[new page = Written word]
In this old report, which has been on YouTube since 2006, you can see that someone wrote “F**k off” on the poor traffic reporter’s map. That’s one way to drop the bomb.
[new page = Baseball history]
As a Bay Stater myself, this isn’t our proudest moment. But hey, the Red Sox won the World Series at home in 2013! We can say what we want, right?
[new page = What’s the deal]
In this old clip, this reporter has no idea why on earth he’s out by a construction site, so he asks, “What’s the big f***ing deal?” We don’t know either.
Since he says it a few times and yells it, we’ll just link to it.
[new page = The Chicken]
Could I put anything else here? This is one of the ultimate goofs from 2009.
