Attention Frozen fans! Walt Disney Studios has announced they will be creating an animated short film, Frozen Fever, that will act as a sequel to the successful children’s movie.
Last month, we had previously reported that Frozen would be receiving a sequel. However, many fans were surprised that the alleged sequel would be in book form, with two novels Anna & Elsa #1: All Hail the Queen and Anna & Elsa #2: Memory and Magic picking up the story where the film left off.
Nevertheless, CNN has reported that Walt Disney Studios recently announced they will be developing a miniature sequel to the 2013 hit film.
All the filmmakers who made Frozen a success will be returning to make Frozen Fever, which will have a storyline focused around Anna’s birthday. In the statement, Disney warned fans that the story will take a turn for the worse when "Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the [birthday] party at risk."
Frozen Fever is expected to be released in Spring and will feature fan favorite characters from the first film, including Olaf (Josh Gad), Elsa (Idina Menzel), and Anna (Kristin Bell).
