"Christopher Nolan's new film Insterstellar is just a few weeks from being released in theaters, but fans of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy might notice a few differences in Nolan's vision this time around.
Interstellar stars Academy Award winning actors Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway as two astronauts who head into space to explore a wormhole in hopes of finding a way to rescue the human race whose days on Earth are numbered.
Nolan set a new standard for superhero movies with The Dark Knight but the talented director talked about how his new science fiction film will have more of a connection to the audience than his past movies thanks to some elaborate set pieces.
“This is the first film I have made where the actual experience of the film is paramount to the audience,” Nolan said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “You would think that’s the case with Batman movies but it’s not; they’re more dependent on the reaction of characters on screen. Interstellar is different. It harkens back to the direct experience films of 2001: A Space Odyssey, where you’re not just experiencing it through the characters, you are lost in it.”
The latest trailer of the film shows some of the frightening and engaging imagery we can expect to see such as wormholes and beyond massive waves.
