The 25-year-old lefty, Madison Bumgarner, carried the Giants on his back to the 2014 World Series Championship. They defeated the Royals by the final of 3-2 in Game 7.

Bumgarner, who has put up some of the best numbers we've seen in baseball post-season history, entered the game on short-rest and collected his third win of this series, notes CBS Sports. He came on in the fifth-inning to relieve Jeremy Affeldt. Bumgarner's final line was 68 pitches, allowing only two hits and striking out four.

The Royals simply had no answer for the big man as he turned out to be the only major force in the World Series. He was fully in control of the Royal's batters all series long.

Pablo Sandoval was once again the Giant's offensive hero on the night. He went 3-3 with two runs scored which included the first run of the night in the top of the second inning on a Michael Morse sac-fly, according to Fox Sports.

For Kansas City, it's a bitter a pill to swallow after witnessing so much magic this past month. And for a moment, as Alex Gordon reached third base in the ninth-inning (Single, Error), Royals fans thought their team had one more moment in the arsenal. However, Salvador Perez popped up along the third-base line to end the season.

For San Francisco, it marks their third championship in five years and eighth in team history. To nobody's surprise, Bumgarner earned MVP honors and made baseball historians everywhere shake their heads.
