Misty Upham, who was reported missing by her family on Oct. 5, has been found dead after being gone for 12 days. Her body was found in a ravine in Seattle, Washington.

Upham’s father reported her missing, saying she recently switched her medications and had suicidal thoughts. A week later, she was still missing and Auburn police officials in Washington said her missing status is not considered suspicious and her wellbeing isn’t endangered.

A spokesperson for the Upham family confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that her body was found. A search party led by her uncle, Robert Upham, found the body and her father, Charles Upham, identified it. A cause of death is still not determined but her family doesn’t believe it’s suicide anymore after finding her body in the woods.

Tracy Rector, a longtime friend of the August: Osage County actress, told THR, "We waited at the site where the team found the body. It took about five-and-a-half hours to confirm. Then we gathered around her body to say prayers and now we're all gathered at the church."

He wanted to make it known that the Upham family is furious at the Auburn Police Department for their refusal to help.

"First and foremost, the family wants everyone to know that the Auburn police did not help with this situation at all,” said Rector. “They refused to help. When she disappeared on Oct. 5, the family knew something was seriously wrong — it was out of character for her to be gone so long without being in touch — and they repeatedly went to the police, who insisted there was no cause for concern."
