Monday night's episode of The Big Bang Theory saw the guys and girls doing their own thing, changing things up from the usual couple happenings that we’ve been seeing so far on the show. In the episode titled “The Focus Attenuation,” Sheldon, Lenny, Howard, and Raj are attempting to come up with the new latest and greatest invention.
The only problem is every time they sit down to come up with ideas, they end up getting distracted, whether by watching Back to the Future or watching pigeon ping pong online.
Meanwhile, Penny, Amy, and Bernadette decide to have a girls weekend in Las Vegas. However, Penny finds out that she only has a couple days instead of a week to get ready for her new job, so she ends up having to skip the night out in order to study. While she stays at the hotel, Bernadette and Amy get very drunk.
The shenanigans were all over the place in this episode, from tangents on Quantum Leap to Penny being called a nerd for staying in to do her work. After a hilarious episode, we’re counting down some of the top ten moments from The Big Bang Theory episode “The Focus Attenuation.”

10. Duct tape on arms
The guys are trying to figure out how to stop themselves from being distracted while trying to come up with a new invention. One of the options they eventually decide on is ripping duct tape off their arms. They each put three strips of tape on both arms and when Leonard makes an innocent remark, it makes Sheldon think of something in entertainment so he rips off one of the pieces of tape on Leonard’s arms. The rest of the guys then follow suit.

9. Girls are drunk
While in Las Vegas, Amy and Bernadette end up going out without Penny since she has to study for her new job. They both enjoy some big glasses of margaritas, while a drunken Amy tells Bernadette how banging she is. Bernadette is embarrassed, especially since the focus is always on how Penny is the hot one.

8. That’s my boy
While discussing the timeline issues in a movie, the guys begin figuring out how to say things in the correct grammar, which is begun by Sheldon. He gives Leonard a comment, saying ‘That’s my boy’ when Leonard says the correct phrase. Eventually, Sheldon says more words in different grammatical ways, leaving us chuckling and possibly some headaches.

When the girls are still figuring out what they want to do, one of Amy’s suggestions is to see a cover of Barry Manillow, who are named Fairy Manillow. Neither of the girls wants to do this, even while drunk, but it is cool to see what Amy likes.

6. Sexting?
Oh, Sheldon, how we love thee? At the beginning of the episode, the guys talk about how the girls always distract them from being able to do things. Sheldon brings up a text from Amy that left him flustered, calling it a sext. However, she was simply hoping he’d have a good day. This conversation eventually leads the guys into deciding to figure out new invention ideas.

5. List of inventions
Good old Wolowitz sure loved the ladies back before he was married. When Leonard finds a book that had a list of invention ideas, he opens it to reveal two listings to make a robot girlfriend and a robot prostitute, both written by Howard. They decide to skip inventions involving sex…the only problem is every single invention has something to do with sex.

It was awesome to see Penny take responsibility and study instead of just spending a night out. It showed she was passionate about getting ready for her job, even when her very drunk friends made fun of her for it.

3. Strip club
Bernadette and Amy manage to drag Penny to a strip club, despite the fact that she has to study. What made this scene hilarious was while Bernadette and Amy enjoyed the show, Penny spent the whole time on her laptop, barely looking up at the male strippers.

2. Drapes
After a night of drinking, Bernadette and Amy are passed out in bed together. Penny cheerfully walks in after a night of sleeping and asks if they want to go to the pool. However, they are both practically dead to the world. Penny joyfully opens the drapes to let the sunshine in before going down to the pool. Amy gets up to close the drapes, but ends up falling on the floor.

1. Vacation
The funniest part of the episode was when Leonard went to ask Penny if it would be okay if he could change their weekend plans to do some things with the guys. Immediately, Penny suggests a girls weekend with Bernadette and Amy, who begin to quickly get ready, much to Leonard’s surprise.
