Max receives a package from her mom, but refuses to open it because she wants to keep the good vibe atmosphere of her apartment and assumes the box is filled with negativity.
Unfortunately for Max, Sophie finds the box outside the apartment and brings the package inside revealing Max’s childhood teddy bear.
Caroline believes the bear was sent as a means to make amends, but Max thinks otherwise. She decides to send the bear back to her mom until she comes across a sassy-boy at the diner who offers to buy the bear for $500. At first Max turns down the offer, but then Caroline accidentally drops one of Hans prized fishes down the drain and is freaking out over trying to replace it.
They contact sassy-boy, Elliot and go to his house to sell the bear in hopes of recovering Han’s fish.
Caroline changes her mind about letting Max sell her bear and tells her she doesn’t have to sell the bear since it’s the only thing she has from her childhood.
Back at the diner, they struggle with breaking the news to Han and instead decide they somehow have to replace the fish.
Caroline is talked into giving Oleg a back massage for $500 and with that they get a new fish. The fish is placed in a water bag in Caroline’s bra, which Sophie slaps, releasing the fish into her bra.
Caroline has to squat on the table over the tank and shimmy so the fish falls out of her bra. The fish lands safely in the tank just before Han notices it was missing.

In the final scene Max sets her teddy bear on a shelf in the cupcake shop and boxes up a package for her mom filled with stuff she gave her growing up. When asked what the stuff is, Max replies, “nothing!”
