Talk of the San Francisco 49ers trading their head coach has started up again and this time potential landing spots could be with the Oakland Raiders or the New York Jets.

FOX Sports has reported that the Niners are looking to trade Jim Harbaugh after the season for a draft pick.

Last season, there were rumblings that the coach would be traded to the Cleveland Browns, but now sources have said that Harbaugh could be shipped to the 1-10 Raiders or the 2-9 Jets.

The 50-year-old coach has had success since he started with the team in 2011. The 49ers went to NFC Championship games and made a Super Bowl appearance in which Harbaugh lost to the Baltimore Ravens, a team coached by his brother John.

Prior to coaching in the NFL, Harbaugh played quarterback for multiple teams including the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts. He then became a position coach for the Raiders in 2002 and 2003 before moving on to college.

Sources have also said that some in Niners organization believe that Harbaugh could get an extension if his 7-5 team can make the playoffs in the tough NFC West Division. However, given the relationship between him and the front office that doesn’t seem likely.

Harbaugh has one year remaining on his existing deal.
