ABC has shored up its midseason plans, announcing premiere dates for Marvel’s anticipated Agent Carter and the musical comedy series Galavant.

It’s not surprising that Agent Carter’s premiere date was announced today, since earlier, ABC and Marvel released the first teaser. The series is a spin-off from Captain America: The First Avenger, tracking the adventures of Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell again) during the 1940s. The character also appeared in a short film on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray.

The series will start on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. during Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s winter break. SHIELD will take back the timeslot on Tuesday, March 3.

Galavant will slide into Once Upon A Time’s Sunday, 8 p.m. slot starting on Jan. 4. OUAT will return from its break on Sunday, March 1.

Galavant features music from beloved Disney composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) and lyrics by Glenn Slater (Tangled). The Medieval series was written by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Cars). Joshua Sasse plays the title character.

ABC also confirmed that Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder will return from their midseason breaks on Thursday, Jan. 29.

ABC recently cancelled Manhattan Love Story, one of its freshman sitcoms on Tuesday. The network didn’t say anything about Selfie, which is now airing in blocks on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
