Alfonso Ribeiro may have to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars due to an injury.
The news comes days before the semifinals. According to TMZ, Ribeiro originally was suffering a groin injury after performing his signature move from his days as Carlton on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Because of the lingering injury, Ribeiro hurt his back and had to skip rehearsal on Thursday.
Ribeiro was able to dance through the pain of his groin injury in hopes of giving his best performance on the dance floor. "On the dance floor, we give it our all and we hold nothing back and we do everything we can to deliver the best performance that we can regardless of whether we're in pain or not," said Ribeiro to E News.
Ribeiro is currently under medical evaluation and was scheduled to go in for an MRI yesterday. According to his doctors, the next 48 hours are critical to his recovery and there is a very likely chance that Alfonso won’t be making his way to the dance floor this week.
