Bill Cosby has found himself in the middle of a press nightmare, and his tactic seems to be one of no response.

Cosby’s lawyer released a statement to The Associated Press saying that Cosby will not “dignify” the allegations against him by responding to the “decade-old, discredited” rumors.

previously reported that Cosby and his wife were asked about the allegations in an interview with NPR, and he simply refused to comment.

In lieu of the recent media rampage, Cosby and his team have cancelled his appearances as of late. The Seattle Times reports that Cosby was scheduled to appear on the Oct. 30 episode of The Queen Latifa Show, but he cancelled. He was also taken off of the guest appearance list for this upcoming Wednesday’s The Late Show with David Letterman airing. However, it is yet to be revealed if that was Cosby’s choice or the show’s.

"We can't comment on the guest booking process," a representative from the show said.

However, Cosby’s team made a bad move with the introduction of their Twitter campaign this week. The Washington Post reports that they asked fans of the actor’s to post memes of Cosby this past week. The post quickly backfired when fans began posting images like the one below.

Despite the controversy, the Cosby camp is trying to stay positive through the ordeal.

"He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work," his lawyer said.
