Bill Cosby tried to get with the times and asked his nearly 4 million Twitter followers to create memes about him, but that quickly backfired and he took down the tweet.
He posted a meme of himself with the words "HAPPY MONDAY! Go ahead. Meme me! #CosbyMeme,” and even provided fans with a meme generator to make it that much easier.
However, Us Weekly reports the former Cosby Show star didn’t exactly get the response he was looking for. Instead, he was inundated with memes focusing on sexual assault allegations against him, which was recently brought to the forefront again when comedian Hannibal Buress called him a “rapist” during his stand-up routine.
Twitter users used old photos of Cosby, now 77, and used the meme generator to make captions such as "Define 'drugged.'"
There have been 13 unidentified women who have made rape allegations against the sitcom actor, who has never publicly commented. He settled one of the cases out of court in 2006.
