Bill Cosby’s nephew, Braxton Cosby, is the first member of the comedian’s family to come to his defense. Meanwhile, yet another woman has come forward, claiming that she was raped by Cosby in 1971.

Braxton Cosby told inspirational speaker/author Farrah Gray that he thinks the Cosby Show star is innocent. “I believe he is innocent and unless the judicial system can prove otherwise, I stand behind him and his contributions,” Braxton said.

USA Today notes that Braxton runs his own company, Cosby Media Productions, and produces Christian-themed projects. He is currently working on a Christian-oriented movie called The Snare.

Braxton didn’t call out the media for its constant coverage of Cosby, but compared his uncle’s situation to a Bible story, where Jesus defended a woman who was about to be stoned and said only those who haven’t sinned themselves should throw the first stone.

“In this case, my uncle and his legacy are still more alive and well than ever before,” Braxton said. “He is still performing and going about normal business despite the unjustified claims.”

Meanwhile, Donna Motsinger told the New York Post that she was one of the 13 women ready to testify against Cosby in Andrea Constand’s 2005 civil case against the comedian. However, Motsinger and the other women didn’t get their chance because the suit was settled out of court in 2006.

Motsinger claimed that she was raped in 1971, while working as a waitress in Sausalito, California. She currently lives in Taos, New Mexico.

“I feel guilty not telling my story,” she told the Post. “I’m a coward over here. Those women are brave. It’s the least I can do. I want to tell people so [the victims] can’t be bullied, so they can’t be discredited.”

Just yesterday, another Port report claimed that Cosby had given the National Enquirer a story about his daughter and her struggles with drug addiction to keep the tabloid from reporting on a night with showgirls in Las Vegas.

Cosby himself has refused to give a detailed statement on the sexual assault claims, but his lawyer, Martin Singer, has slammed the media for continuing to report on them.
