Britney Spears took her relationship with Charlie Ebersol to the next level this past weekend, posting a smiling selfie of the new couple for her 39.5 million Twitter followers to see.
Fans might now be wondering how these two met and who exactly Ebersol is. Just last week she confirmed to Extra that “there is a special someone,” but “it's very new."
According to MailOnline, they met when Ebersol, the son of SNL co-founder Dick Ebersol, pitched her father Jamie Spears a reality television idea starring the "Circus" singer.
“The concept sounded good to Jamie, and I guess it seems that as the meetings advanced, Britney was brought in to meet Charlie,” a source said. “Lo and behold there was chemistry there. This was a couple of months ago now.”
The reality show would feature Spears as a philanthropist, giving back to those in need, rather than show her as a pop star.
As discussions progressed, so did Spears and Ebersol’s relationship. “There were a few 'dinner' meetings. They were getting to know each other,” the source said.
