The New York Giants may finally have the star wide receiver on offense they need, but that doesn’t mean that they win. Despite one of the greatest catches of the decade, the team still managed to lose to the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night.

Early in the game, it looked like the Giants had something to prove, taking an early lead. One of those early touchdowns featured an amazing catch from rookie Odell Beckham Jr. It appeared impossible, but Beckham jumped in the air, held his right arm straight up and managed to catch the toss from Eli Manning with just three fingers. He held onto the ball through the motion as he fell to the ground and the touchdown was confirmed.

In the seconds after the catch, it went viral, with videos popping up instantly and even LeBron James congratulating Beckham on Twitter.

“I believed I could grab it,” Beckham told the New York Times. “I just had to hold onto it. I’ve done it before.”

While the Giants ultimately went into the half with the lead, 21-10, Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and the Cowboys engineered a successful rally in the second half. They added two scores in the third quarter and a final pass to Bryant in the fourth quarter put the game away. The Cowboys won, 31-28.

The Cowboys are now 8-3 and have set up an incredible match for Thanksgiving day. They face their other NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles in a fight for first place.

"Now we have another challenge coming up real quick," Romo said after the game, notes the AP. "Philly is playing great football so we're going to have to play better than we did tonight to win that game."

As for the Giants, they fall to 3-8. Their next game is against the 1-10 Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
