The Intro

A couple is walking their dog in the woods. They get in a small fight, and the man wanders off. He is following the sound of a cell phone ringing. When the woman catches up with the man, she discovers he has found a dead body. The boy is laying next to a car with stab wounds and a cell phone jammed in his mouth.

The Case

The team is called out to investigate the murder, but it was the only murder of that same kind, so far. The team suspected that a string of violence in the town could be traced back to a hit and run accident, in which the affluent driver got away with killing the other driver. That led to a string of incidents in the town, including the bombing of a random frat house on campus. Now, they think the murder of the boy is related as well.

He was a privileged kid, but he had secrets. The team finds three videos of him having sex with women on his phone, but the women weren’t aware they were being filmed. The team pressures a friend that the videos were sent to, and he confessed that the boy had had another woman lined up. He described her as old-fashioned and having clothes with the tag still on them.

The Unsub

This leads the team to think the unsub is targeting unwholesome behavior. However, after a second body shows up, they notice a wound mark consistent with that of a stiletto heel. The team now believes the unsub is a woman.

They profile her as a woman who has experienced trauma, possibly assault, in her life when she was a child. She promises her victims sex, and then she kills them. She is pretty, so she can draw in affluent, attractive men. However, she lives a humble life herself. She also works somewhere that she can obtain nice clothes from without paying.

With her next killing, she gets a little sloppy. It looks like this murder wasn’t planned. After a date with a man she met at a bar, the woman goes for a drive with him. When he makes a move, she gets angry and tells him to stop. He doesn’t, and she get violent. He tries to drive away, but she manages to hit him with a rock. She makes sure to stab him with her stiletto before she runs away, but she leaves her heels at the crime scene.

After this, the team changed their profile somewhat. They believe the unsub is living out the Cinderella fairytale (she puts the phones in their mouth after killing them with the alarm set for the stroke of midnight). She is looking for her Prince Charming, and when they don’t match up, she kills them.

They finally track down a possible suspect, Claire, by searching for dry-cleaner workers. She was raised by her father after her mother was institutionalized. However, her father eventually went to prison for sexual assault of a minor, leaving her in the foster care system. Her profile matches that of the unsub, so they go to her house. However, she isn’t there. Her employer said he had sent his son over to fire her early that morning.

Happily Ever After

Meanwhile, Claire agrees to let her boss’ son drive her to the cemetery, where she claims to be visiting her father’s grave. The boy gets suspicious of Claire when he reads the tombstone. It is dated nearly a hundred years ago with a woman’s name. Claire gets angry when he questions her, so she hits him over the head with a glass vase.

Just in time, Reid and JJ show up to the scene. JJ positions herself behind a tree, armed, without Clair seeing her. Then, Reid bravely approached Claire, pretending to be her Prince Charming. He tells her he met her at a dance the night before. He pulls out a high heel, asking if it will fit her. When it does, she allows Reid to lead her to the police car, with him calling it a carriage. The boy is out of harm, now.

JJ’s Story

Throughout the show, JJ is battling whether or not she should tell her son about death. In the beginning of the show, it is revealed that her sister had committed suicide years before, and her mother wants to tell JJ’s son the truth about his aunt. However, JJ doesn’t think that is appropriate. In the end, she decides she shouldn’t shield her son from the truth, because it might lead to problems later on in life.

Next Episode: ‘Hashtag’

The next episode has elements of social media danger. The team deals with an internet savvy killer, with a Twitter twist.
