DJ Diplo has called for a Kickstarter to "get Taylor Swift a booty," causing people to wonder if the rumored boyfriend of Katy Perry is adding to the apparent bad blood between Perry and the "Shake It Off" singer.
E! News is reporting that Diplo took to his Twitter on Wednesday, tweeting out, "Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty." And apparently someone took that tweet seriously!
Just an hour after Diplo's initial tweet poking fun at Swift, he tweeted out a link to a Fundly page called, "Get Taylor Swift a booty." The campaign's description says that Taylor Swift still needs her fans help "to improve her posterior." According to the Fundly page, it will only take $3,500 to get Taylor Swift a new backside, and $45 has already been raised.
Fans of T-Swift came to her defense, accusing the DJ of body shaming, and of being jealous of her recent success.
Of course, if the incredible sales of Taylor's latest album, 1989 proves anything, it's that she definitely doesn't need a campaign to raise money for butt-enhancing surgery.
However, Diplo's tweet has left some wondering if the jab at Swift is due to some tension between Diplo's rumored girlfriend, Katy Perry, and Swift. It was previously reported that the two may have a rivalry, and that's Swift's song, "Bad Blood," is about Perry.
Swift told Rolling Stone that the song was about someone she apparently has a rivalry with, saying that she was never sure if she was really friends with the person that the song is about.
"It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me," she added on.
Rumors that the song was about Perry were only fueled when the "Unconditionally" singer tweeted out, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."
