Dish Network subscribers will finally be able to watch CNN, TBS, TNT, TCM and Cartoon Network again. Turner Broadcasting and Dish settled their ongoing contract dispute on Friday.
Turner and Dish issued a short statement, confirming that its networks - which also include Adult Swim, Boomerang, truTV, HLN and CNN en Espanol - will all be available once again for Dish subscribers. The two sides also agreed to a carriage extension for TNT and TBS. They will offer no further comment.
Turner networks have gone dark for Dish subscribers for a full month. As CNET reported back on Oct. 20, Dish said that Turner had refused to extend their current contract. However, Turner argued that it had already made concessions during the negotiations.
The dispute turned into a carriage dispute, just like others over the past two years before it was finally settled.
Dish Network has over 14 million subscribers in the U.S. According to Variety, Dish is also in a dispute with Comcast over its networks, as their contract ends on Dec. 1. The Turner contract wasn’t set to expire until Dec. 5.
