Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is teaming up with Kevin Hart in a new action cop movie, Central Intelligence.

From the same director of We're the Millers, Rawson Marshall Thurber, Central Intelligence follows the story of a former bullied high school student turned CIA operative, played by Johnson, as he returns back to his old stomping grounds for a high school reunion, Variety reports. Johnson then gets in contact with a former high school athlete star who is now an accountant, played by Hart, to stop a CIA information leak.

Hitfix reported that Ed Helms was supposed to play the lead role in the film from New Line Cinema but it appears Helms has made the switch to an executive producer position.

Before Johnson became one of the top global action stars of this generation, Johnson followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather where he first found success and fame as a third generation professional wrestler in the WWE with his ring name, "The Rock."

It wasn't until Johnson had a brief cameo in The Mummy Returns that his film career began to take off, but apparently a few short scenes is all it took for film executives to notice Johnson's potential.

"I get a call from my agent, and he says, ‘Hey, they’re watching the dailies of what they’re shooting, and they want to make a movie just off your character,'" Johnson told Forbes.

Johnson can next be seen in Furious 7 out in theatres April 3, 2015.
