Before Ed Sheeran took the stage last Thursday for his Glasgow concert, he accepted a proposal from a fan who is currently battling brain cancer.

The fan was, Katie Papworth, who is currently 19 and has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which she has been fighting for the past eight years. She meet Sheeran backstage before the concert and gave him an engagement ring which had the infinity symbol craved into it, iHeartRadio reported.
Papworth also presented Sheeran with a piece of artwork of her own. She had drawn the picture before she lost her ability to see. Sheeran was thrilled and moved by the artwork. He personally signed the picture with the heartfelt message, "“Katie, lovely to finally meet my wife.
MTV reported that the meeting was arranged by The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation.
